What is Omaze?
Omaze is a technology company that uses the power of online platforms to offer once-in-a-lifetime experiences and prizes to support charitable causes. Omaze was founded in 2012 by entrepreneurs Ryan Cummins and Matt Pohlson with a mission to be the most trusted and inspiring brand in the philanthropy space. Since launch, Omaze has partnered with over 200 charities and raised more than $130 million for important causes around the world.
Omaze offers everyone the opportunity to have a direct and personal impact on the world through their unique online platform. Through powerful storytelling and innovative technology, Omaze engages millions of people who are passionate about making a difference.
With every campaign, Omaze provides an unforgettable experience while supporting a great cause. For example, recent Campaigns have included attending the red carpet premiere of Star Wars: The Last Jedi with Mark Hamill, hanging out with Jon Stewart at The Daily Show, and spending a day on the set of Game of Thrones.
Omaze is changing the face of philanthropy by making it easy and fun for everyone to get involved and make a difference. Whether you want to support your favorite charity or have a once-in-a-lifetime experience, Omaze is your go-to destination.
Can you sell the Omaze house if you win it?
If I decide not to live in the house, is it possible for me to sell it? Yes. The lucky winner will have complete discretion over what they do with the house; it will be theirs to keep, rent, or sell at their discretion.
How are Omaze winners selected?
After the conclusion of the campaign, we will hold an automated drawing using a random selection method to select a potential winner or winners for that campaign within ten business days. The potential winner will next be subjected to a verification procedure, which may involve a check of their background, in order to ensure that they satisfy the necessary legal requirements.
Do you have to pay taxes on Omaze prizes?
Every winner who takes home a prize that has an estimated retail value of $600 or more will be required to fill out and submit a Form 1099. However, in the case of some of our vehicle experiences, the sales tax is already paid for, and Omaze will pay the winner up to 25 percent of the ARV (approximate retail value) in place of the winner’s having to pay income taxes.
PAST HOUSE DRAWS
1. MEET THE WINNER OF OUR WIMBLEDON HOUSE
This Wimbledon mansion is valued over $3,500,000, and it was won by Heekyoung Jin of Wallington, South London. Lukas, Heekyoung’s kid, spent three months of his life in Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH). Heekyoung entered the raffle to support Gosh’s important humanitarian activities, but she had no hope of winning. Astonished, she exclaimed, “This is so unreal!” I just don’t think this will ever happen to us. The realisation that we won the house has us quite enthusiastic about the prospects for our children and grandchildren. This has profound implications for one’s future.
2. MEET THE WINNER OF OUR LAKE DISTRICT HOUSE

We initially thought the youngsters were playing a prank on us. Before this, the largest lottery prize we ever won was ten pounds. “It’s a cause important to my heart because I have friends whose parents have Alzheimer’s,” Catherine explained.
