Blade & Rose is a popular British kidswear label known for its fashionable pants and matching accessories.
I started Blade & Rose in 2010 while on parental leave.
I got tired of the same old boring styles of children’s pants on the market and started making prototypes with fun and fashionable patterns on the legs.
After three iterations of a prototype that proved effective and extensive market research, they decided to launch Blade & Rose.
Blade & Rose has always been committed to using only the highest quality yarn in all of their products. From the very first pair of leggings, they believed that one of the most important aspects of development was making sure that their fabric was long-lasting, practical, easy to care for, and, most importantly, gentle on a baby’s skin.
Three of the original designs were released to a variety of upscale, independent children’s clothing and gift shops, and they quickly sold out, proving that I’m not the only parent in this situation.
My focus for the next few months was on making Blade & Rose a success while working full-time and raising two young children. The effort was worthwhile, though.
