The British childrenswear label Blade & Rose is known for its innovative leggings and other apparel items. In 2010, when I was on maternity leave, Blade & Rose was born. I started assembling prototypes that each had their own distinctive and fashionable bottom design because I got sick of the boring styles of children’s leggings that were available. Following extensive study and three successful prototype attempts, their took the plunge and launched Blade & Rose because no one else was doing anything similar at the time.

An essential part of Blade & Rose’s philosophy has always been the use of high-quality yarn in all of Blade & Rose garments. Blade & Rose set out to create leggings for babies with the intention that the fabric would be long-lasting, practical, easy to wash, and gentle on their delicate skin.

The three first designs sold out in an instant when Blade & Rose introduced the products to many upscale, independent children’s apparel boutiques and gift shops; clearly, there are many other parents who can relate to my situation!I worked nights and weekends to make Blade & Rose a success while juggling a full-time job and raising two children.

But in the end, it was all worth it. It’s hard to think that they’re now into year thirteen of trading. Blade & Rose would not be where it is today without the incredible team that Blade & Rose original husband-and-wife combination has grown into. Germany, Switzerland, France, Spain, Belgium, Italy, the Netherlands, Greece, Japan, China, Taiwan, the United Arab Emirates, New Zealand, and Australia are just a few of the countries where their British family firm has stockists. Their are now expanding substantially in the United States.
