Midi Skirt
Generally speaking, the term “midi” refers to any length between two inches below the knees and just above the ankles. Most women find that the easiest lengths are just above the swell of the calf (a couple of inches below the knees) or just below the calves (so that a few inches of ankle show).
Not only does it have universal appeal, but it is also an essential component of any effortless, compliment-worthy summer ensemble. Dress up a plain white tee and flat sandals to highlight the flirty florals, silky fabric, or tiny pleats of the skirt, rather than hiding them behind them.
Because the midi skirt provides more coverage, pair it with a contrasting little top – such as a crop top or a little tank – or a tucked-in blouse to accentuate your waist. In the fall and winter, pair midi skirts with sweaters and coats, and in the spring and summer, pair them with little tops!

Linen Pencil Midi Skirt
A linen pencil skirt (preferably in a dark colour, such as navy blue or black) and a fancy top with a V neck or wide sleeves will give you a powerful, sophisticated, and fashionable appearance. If you want to look balanced rather than boxy, we recommend wearing a fitted top with a looser-fitting bottom.
A pencil skirt is a form-fitting skirt with a straight, narrow cut that is slim in the waist. Most of the time, the hem falls to, or just below, the knee, and it is tailored to be a close fitting garment. It was given this name because of its shape, which is long and slim like a pencil.
Light, bright, or patterned pencil skirts always appear more slimming on the body than dark pencil skirts. The use of vertical lines, such as stripes, slits, or a long zipper, in pencil skirts can draw the eye up and down, making you appear long and lean.
Linen appears to be the fabric of choice for the fashion industry. In combination with something as simple as a plain T-shirt, vest top, or, for double the appeal, a linen shirt, a linen skirt is the answer if you want to achieve a covetable, effortlessly stylish look.

Draped Maxi Skirt
Petite figures appear curvy when wearing draped skirts that begin at the waist and end just above the knee, as shown here. Look for draping that defines the waist and flows from hip to hip to create a defined silhouette.
Putting a blouse or button down shirt into a wrap skirt is a look that I adore for many reasons. It helps to balance out the sexiness of the silhouette, and it’s appropriate for the office when paired with a pair of pumps. Dress the look down a notch by tucking a knit or tee into the skirt and accessorising with a pair of fun booties or heels.
Preu or pareo (see below) is the Cook Islands and Tahitian word for a skirt that wraps around the body. Originally, it was only used to refer to women’s skirts, because men wore a loincloth, which was known as a maro, instead. Nowadays, the term refers to any piece of cloth that is worn wrapped around the body, whether it is worn by a man or a woman.
Long or Maxi skirt – The length of this skirt ranges from just below mid calf to lower calf, approximately 10 inches above the floor. formal evening or full length skirt – This skirt length is 1 inch above the floor and is worn on formal occasions.
